In Del Rey Manga's version of The X-Men, Kitty Pryde is the first girl student invited to Professor Xavier's School for Gifted students. Since this is shojo manga, there's an aloof love interest (Bobby Drake, a.k.a. Ice Man), a best friend (Kurt Wagner, a.k.a. Nightcrawler), and an eccentric teacher (Hank McCoy, a.k.a. Beast).
