The sequel to the first Death Note movie, Death Note: The Last Note finds Light (Tatsuya Fujiwara) joining forces with L (Kenichi Matsuyama) to track down Kira, a serial killer who has been killing criminals all over the world. What L doesn't know, but suspects is that Light is really Kira and that he's killing criminals by writing his victims' names in a supernatural notebook called a Death Note.

As the two geniuses play a high-stakes game of cat and mouse, something unexpected happens: Another Kira comes forward and claims responsibility for the killings.
