Kieli is 14 years old, and she has no friends. Well, at least no friends who are alive. Kieli can see ghosts and given that she has nothing but disdain for most people nowadays, ghosts are the only 'people' she's interested in talking to anyway.
Kieli lives alone in a boarding house, fairly satisfied with her solitary existence. Then one day she discovers a corpse, only this particular corpse isn't exactly dead. The corpse-cum-immortal man is Harvey, a former soldier who shares Kieli's ability to see ghosts. Harvey is on the run from the enemies he thought he left behind on the battlefield. Kieli throws her lot in with this strange, soulless man and his possessed radio. Where will fate lead this unlikely pair?
