The Shinagawa JR Station is part of the Yamanote Line which circles Tokyo. Our Tokyo accomodations, the Hotel Pacific Shinagawa was within walking distance of the station, so we enjoyed some grilled yakitori (chicken skewers) and beer on our first night in Tokyo at a nearby izakaya (gastro-pub).
