December 7 - 9, 2007 – Jacob Javits Center, New York City, NY

This preliminary sketch of Wolverine by Anzu is meant for the shojo manga version of the X-Men from Del Rey Manga and Marvel Comics.

This bishonen sketch of Wolverine by Anzu got more than a few comic book bloggers in a tizzy when they mistakenly thought it was for the Wolverine shonen manga project, not the shojo (girls) manga version of the X-Men.

Calm down, fanboys. This Wolverine won't be the one that's meant for your manly manga enjoyment. The artist for the Wolverine project has yet to be named, but writer Antony Johnston is set as the scribe for the two-volume series.

Look for the shojo manga version of The X-Men and the shonen manga version of Wolverine to appear in bookstores in 2009. Read more about the Del Rey Manga / Marvel announcement at NYAF.

So what do you think of the upcoming X-Men manga? Vote in our online poll or sound off in the forums!
