Svetlana Chmakova started out in webcomics and illustration, but Dramacon, is her first full-length, ongoing Original English Language (OEL) shojo manga series. Dramacon is about love and drama at an American anime convention.
Dramacon is also nominated for a 2007 Will Eisner Award in the "Special Recognition" category, which honors up-and-coming comics creators. Dramacon is published by Los Angeles, California-based TokyoPop.The awards will be announced at San Diego Comic-Con International at the San Diego Convention Center on Friday, July 27, 2007.
