TokyoPop OEL manga artist M. Alice "Marty" LeGrow was a featured special guest at Sakura-Con 2008, and made several appearances at panels and workshops throughout the weekend.
Besides drawing and writing her gothic, horror series Bizenghast, LeGrow is also an experienced cosplayer who creates many of the dazzling dresses and accessories that she wears at anime and comic conventions.
In related news, TokyoPop Senior Editor Lillian Diaz-Przybyl mentioned at their Friday panel at Sakura-Con that TokyoPop is currently developing a series of light novels based on Bizenghast that will feature illustrations by LeGrow.
