There were more shinigami than cosplayers inspired by sports manga at Anime Expo, but these intrepid Slam Dunk fans came to represent for Takehiko Inoue's bestselling manga about a high school basketball team. When I asked about their choice of costume, Bill, who came as red-haired Hanamichi Sakuragi mentioned that he came up with the idea, because "Slam Dunk is one of my favorites -- I love the basketball action!"
