The turkey has been eaten and the extra-big, ad-filled edition of the newspaper has arrived. It's Black Friday, and that means it's officially time to get crackin' on your holiday gift-buying. But what to get the manga reader who (you think) has everything? Or how can you spread the joy of manga to new readers young and old alike?
I took a look at several recently released titles and picked my favorite gift-worthy graphic novels, anime DVDs and a few surprise extras that just might fit the bill. Check out my picks for 20 Great Manga Gifts and see if you find a few that you might want to get for yourself too.
So what tops the list? Well, how about that ginormous Fullmetal Alchemist Box Set, that includes all 27 volumes of this recently completed shonen manga series, plus a bonus novel and poster? Or what about those nice omnibus editions of CLAMP series like X and Magic Knight Rayearth? Or, are you looking for picks to please your foodie aunt, your history buff uncle, or maybe your younger brother or sister, or niece or nephew? There's something for (almost) anyone here!
Take a look and see what's new and cool, and maybe worth adding to your holiday shopping list! For more holiday gift suggestions, check out these comics-centric gift guides:
