Now that the second and latest volume of Ultimo is hitting the stores, so will comics creator Stan Lee, as he'll be making the scene in Los Angeles and San Diego this month to promote it. The co-creator of Ultimo (and numerous other comics including Spiderman, Iron Man and too many more to mention) will be signing copies of this Shonen Jump manga title at the Barnes and Noble at The Grove in L.A. on Friday, July 16 at 7:00 pm.
On the following weekend, he'll be at the VIZ Media booth at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, July 24, and will be making an appearance as the featured guest at the Shonen Jump panel on Saturday at Comic-Con, from 10:30 - 11:30 am in Room 9.
Ultimo is the co-creation of Lee and Shaman King manga creator Hiroyuki Takei. While it started out as a battle between two mechanical boys, one embodying "ultimate good" and the other "ultimate evil," the story has since progressed to be a time-traveling adventure that segues between feudal and contemporary-day Japan, and into the future as well. In recent chapters, several other "karakuri doji" have appeared in the story, each representing different virtues and vices, and the story has turned out to be not as 'black and white' as it originally seemed.

Tickets for the autograph session will be available after 4:00 pm on Thursday, July 22 and Friday, 23. The first 60 people on each day to purchase Ultimo from the VIZ Media booth will receive tickets to get their books signed by Lee.
