NY Times Manga Bestsellers: Naruto Hangs On To #1 Slot for Second Week

By , About.com GuideFebruary 19, 2010

Follow me on:

Naruto Vol. 47After the arrival of seven new titles in last week's list, this week's New York Times Graphic Books Manga Bestseller List shows that most of the newcomers are showing some staying power. In fact, the top 4 titles are in exactly the same plac e they were last week, with Naruto Volume 47 steadfastly holding on to the #1 slot in its second week on the chart.

The prime mover this week is Alice in the Country of Hearts, a bishonen (pretty boys)-packed remake of Lewis Carroll's trip to Wonderland, as it leapfrogs from #9 to #5 this week. Will it be able to challenge Black Butler, Black Bird, Naruto or Vampire Knight and move up yet again next week? Only the Cheshire Cat knows for now.

Here's the rest of the New York Times Graphic Books Manga Top 10 for the week ending February 13, 2010.
