For the second week in a row, Yu-Gi-Oh GX Volume 4 tops the New York Times Graphic Books Manga Bestseller List, but that's not the only Shonen Jump title in the spotlight.
Sure enough, the One Piece ramp-up is starting to show up on the Graphic Books Manga List, with two of the five new volumes that made their debut in early January claiming spots. With 30 new volumes of One Piece due to debut between now and June 2010, will Eiichiro Oda's pirate adventure series dominate the charts with multiple volumes in the Top 10, much as the Naruto ramp-up did in 2009? We'll find out over the next few months.
Also notable: The 22nd volume of Fullmetal Alchemist debuts in the #4 slot. Meanwhile, the first volume of Vampire Knight also makes its debut in the Top 10 three years after it first originally went on sale in January 2007. What is they say about vampires being immortal?
Here's the rest of the New York Times Graphic Books Manga Top 10 for the week ending January 16, 2010.
