Yamilla Abraham, publisher of Las Vegas-based Yaoi Press recently announced her new publishing venture: Yaoi Prose. Yaoi Prose is a cooperative venture between Abraham and Studio Kôsen, the creative team behind Yaoi Press titles such as Saihoshi, Stallion, and Daemonium (published by TokyoPop) to offer illustrated erotic boys love novels.
The first two titles offered include Incubus Master by Abraham and illustrated by Barbara Apostolico, and Saihôshi: Redemption by Studio Kôsen, their sequel to Saihôshi: the Guardian. But before you run off to the bookstore to order your copies of Yaoi Prose illustrated novels, you should know that these new books are currently only available as downloadable ebooks via YaoiProse.com.
The Yaoi Prose website launched on January 7, 2010, and while it's a modest affair so far, it's offering free sample chapters to tempt fans to purchase Incubus Master, at the very affordable price of $0.99 for part 1 and $2.50 for part 2.
But that's not all -- according to the Yaoi Prose website, "Part of the reason for starting Yaoi Prose was to bring a fresh stream of funds to different Yaoi Press projects." For example, a portion of sales of Incubus Master will be dedicated to funding the publication of Bastard King the sequel to Dark Prince, a book that the site describes as "a graphic novel currently in progress, but in bad need of funding." Fans can see how close (or far) Yaoi Prose is from its goal by checking its progress on the Smarty Pig widget on the Yaoi Prose blog.
You can also keep up with the latest updates to the Yaoi Prose website by following them on Twitter.

The free sample chapters are great! It’s good to see more adult manga making its way over here, hopefully the site expands soon. In the meantime, here’s where I get my erotic eBooks.
Yamila Abraham knows what readers want. After checking out her free sample, which cuts off just as things grow entirely too tantalizing to leave unquenched, I couldn’t help hitting the paypal link. Having never tried anything like it before, I was pleasantly surprised. The simple transaction (once I reset my paypal password, lol) was as straight forward and shockingly inexpensive as it could be and the process to download was as easy as click-copy-paste-read!
As a long time Yaoi reader who was devastated to see Borders go down, I’m grateful and thrilled to have stumbled upon Yaoi prose. User friendly, affordable, discreet and (best of all) a guaranteed good read.
