One of the new categories in this year's batch of year-end polls is the Best New Korean Manhwa Readers' Poll. And looking over the 10 nominees, I gotta say it's an interesting snapshot of the diversity of styles and stories coming out of Korea today.
There's romantic comedies like Pig Bride and 13th Boy alongside violent action-adventures like Raiders and Jack Frost. There are modern horror stories like The Reading Club as well as historically-themed supernatural fables like Time and Again. There are indie-style short stories like Mijeong and torrid boys love stories like U Don't Know Me. Really, there's practically something for everyone here this year thanks to Yen Press, NBM Publishing, First Second, Udon Entertainment and NETComics. But which one intrigued you most?

There are still five more polls to come -- you can get a sneak peek at what's coming up at the 2009 Manga Readers' Poll page.
