This week's edition of the New York Times Graphic Books list demonstrates a show of strength from the shonen manga side of the spectrum, as 8 out of the 10 titles are geared primarily for male readers, with many Shonen Jump titles making up this week's debuts.
The latest volumes of perennial chart-toppers Bleach, One Piece, and Yu-Gi-Oh R claimed their spots in this week's top 10, and the Death Note light novel, L: Change the World continues to generate strong sales. Also new this week is the latest volume of D.N. Angel from TokyoPop, a title that recently returned to their regular publishing line-up after a few years on hiatus. Surprisingly, last week's no. 1 chart-topper Warriors: Ravenpaw's Path is nowhere to be seen in this week's edition of the manga Top 10 list.
Here's the rest of the New York Times Graphic Books Manga Top 10 for the week ending December 5, 2009.
