Follow me on:

Domo MangaOn Thursday, October 29, Los Angeles-based manga publisher TokyoPop is hosting two special events featuring the creator of Domo, Tsuneo Goda.

First, the TokyoPop Insider webcast at 4:00 pm Pacific Standard Time (PST) / 7:00 pm Eastern Standard Time(EST), which will feature a special Q&A with Goda-san. Get answers to your questions about NHK's raging brown critter -- like, what is Domo anyway? Why does he love apples? And what's his favorite Slurpee flavor?

You can join the webcast up to an hour prior to its start time via this iLinq site. You can also add a reminder to your online calendar. TokyoPop Insider offers fans a chance to ask questions via live-chat, plus get a peek at the new manga and fun in store from TokyoPop.

Tsuneo GodaDomo fans in Southern California will also have the chance to meet Goda-san in person on Thursday night at 7:00 pm at the Northridge Borders Books & Music store at 9301 Tampa Avenue. Besides answering questions at a live Q & A panel, Goda-san will also sign your Domo goodies.

But fans, take note: there's a simple rule for this signing: Goda-san will sign one Domo item that you bring from home (e.g. book, plushie, tote bag), but will gladly sign any and all Domo books/goods you buy at Borders that night. Fair enough, right?

Besides today's Domo-mania, TokyoPop is also offering another chance to get in on the fun with the Domo Caption Contest. Write a funny caption to the provided Domo picture, and win a copy of the Domo Manga , plus a Domo Caption This! game.

You can also view the Domo Manga video trailer and an online preview of the first chapter of the Domo Manga.
