As announced at New York Anime Festival, VIZ Media and Hulu.com launched their simulcast broadcasts of the final season of InuYasha. As of Saturday afternoon, U.S. fans are able to watch the latest episode for free on ShonenSunday.com and Hulu.com almost as soon as fans in Japan were able to see it.
After many years and many, many episodes, it seems that InuYasha and Kagome will finally be facing their final confrontation with the evil Naraku and his numerous minions. Tune in every Saturday to see how things will turn out at the end of this popular and long-running series.
If you've been keeping up with the manga, you're probably already hip to the fact that new volumes of InuYasha are coming out monthly, and that the new VIZ Big omnibus edition of InuYasha, which collects the first three volumes of the series, will be out on November 11, 2009. So lots of InuYasha joy ahead!
Also new and cool: Chapters of Rumiko Takahashi's horror series The Mermaid Saga have been added to the Rumic World website. Check it out now, if you haven't read this slightly darker series from the creator of InuYasha, Ranma 1/2 and more.
