Naruto Shippuden Anime To Debut on Disney XD
A new face is coming soon to Disney TV screens in October 2009. No, we're not talking about the Marvel-Disney merger here -- VIZ Media announced last week that new episodes of Naruto: Shippuden anime will be showing on the Disney XD network.
Disney XD is Disney's cable TV channel geared especially for boys age 6 - 14, and as such, its programming is packed with action, comedy, animated and live action shows geared for guys such as The Spectacular Spiderman, Iron Man, Batman and Skyrunners.
The first part of the Naruto saga has been featured on The Cartoon Network. The Shippuden story arc takes place two years after the end of the first part of the Naruto series, and focuses on the young ninja and his friends when they're older teens, and facing much tougher opponents in higher-stakes confrontations.
Net-savvy fans have been able to enjoy the latest episodes of Naruto: Shippuden online at Naruto.com on the same week as it makes its debut in Japan. Now more fans will be able to catch these exciting episodes (well, as long as they have cable and have Disney XD in their channel mix).
The amped up Naruto release schedule is now over, but the latest volume of this bestselling shonen manga series, Naruto Vol. 46 is coming soon. Look for Kakashi on the cover on October 6, 2009.
