Now in its third month, the New York Times Graphic Books Bestseller Manga List is starting to look like it's shaking free from the almost total domination of Naruto titles in the top 10.
So what's movin' on up this week? A whole lot of new VIZ Media titles, including the latest volumes of Bleach by Tite Kubo, Rosario + Vampire by Akihisa Ikeda, Ouran High School Host Club by Bisco Hatori, One Piece by Eiichiro Oda and Yu-Gi-Oh! GX by Kazuki Takahashi and Naoyuki Kageyama. In fact, seven of the top 10 are Shonen Jump Manga titles, and only one, Negima! by Ken Akamatsu is from another publisher, Del Rey Manga.
That's not to say that our favorite teen ninja has left the top ten entirely. Naruto Volumes 42, 43 and 44 are still hanging in there for their 10th, 11th and 9th weeks on the chart, respectively; a show of strength that is unmatched by any other manga title since this list was first introduced in March 2009.
