Episode 101 of Naruto will be airing on Thursday, March 26, the same day that this episode will air in Japan. To celebrate this first time simulcast, VIZ Media is launching their new Naruto Watch and Win contest on Friday, March 27. Just go to Naruto.com to view the latest episode, then after you're done, answer the trivia question that'll appear after the show. If you answer correctly, you just might win prizes such as Naruto video games, action figures, tees.
To kick things off, VIZ Media has got Namco Bandai Games America to co-sponsor the first four weeks of giveaways. The first three winners will win a copy of Ultimate Ninja 4: Naruto Shippuden, the latest fightin' game featuring all of your favorite ninja from Konoha Village and beyond. The lucky winner on the fourth week will get Ultimate Ninja 4 AND a Playstation 2 game console.
This is just the latest wave of VIZ Media's "Generation Ninja" promos, as they've been accelerating the release of Naruto anime episodes and manga volumes to cut the usual delay between its Japanese debut and the arrival of the translated English editions. The final wave of the manga barrage a.k.a. three volumes of Naruto, Volumes 42, 43 and 44 will arrive at your local bookstore on April 7, 2009.
