Last weekend, over 77,000 comics, sci-fi, movies and manga fans came out to the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City for New York Comic-Con 2009. Just to prove that it all happened and that I survived it all, I've posted a few photos of some of the scenes I got to soak in. Check out my New York Comic-Con 2009 Photo Gallery for snapshots of some of the cool cosplay and comics creators that I saw there.

Now in its fourth year, New York Comic-Con managed to generate a good deal of buzz for presenting a fan-friendly mix of comics, sci-fi, movies, TV shows, toys, video games, manga and anime programming. From sneak peeks of UP, the latest movie from Pixar / Disney to celebrity appearances by stars of some of the hottest shows (well, as far as geekdom is concerned) on TV, there was lots to see and take in over the three days of the show.

I didn't get to every noteworthy panel, screening and event -- but these pics are a sampling of my manga-centric experience of the show, including shots of Benjamin (creator of Orange) doing his manhua magic with just a handful of highlighter markers, a Soul Eater, some superheroes and even a princess. Also, if you're curious, here's snaps from New York Comic-Con 2008 too.

So did you check out New York Comic-Con? What did you think? What was your most memorable moment of the weekend? Add your comments below!

Stick around for one last NYCC report about what's new and coming soon from CMX Manga.
