Saturday: Manga For Dummies Demo, Signing at Kinokuniya NYC

Manga artist Kensuke Okabayashi, illustrator of Manga for Dummies and the recently released manga version of Patrick Lencioni's New York Times bestselling business fable, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team will be appearing at Books Kinokuniya's Bryant Park store in New York City on Saturday, October 25, 2008 from 3 pm. Okabayashi will be giving a talk, showing off his drawing skills and signing books for fans, aspiring artists and manga-philes at this event.

Okabayashi is a New Jersey-based illustrator who has numerous professional credits to his name, both as a published comics artist and commercial illustrator for clients as varied as Marvel Comics, Diet Coke and Canon Digital. JAVA!, his comic book series from Committed Comics, is based on "his past experience(s) of working long hours at a well-known coffee shop corporation," and revolves around "high-powered caffeine girl who fights crime."

Books Kinokuniya is located at 1073 Avenue of the Americas, between 40th and 41st Streets in Manhattan, and is directly across from Bryant Park. For more information about this event and store hours, call the store at 212-869-1700 or send a note to nyinfo@kinokuniya.com.
