NY Anime Festival '08: Cosplay Photos & Manga Highlights

According to official figures, over 18,000 fans came to check out New York Anime Festival 2008 at the Jacob K. Javits Center on a somewhat drizzly Fall weekend in Manhattan.

In addition to covering the various manga-related panels (and a few panels that had nothing to do with manga, like an appearance by celebrity chef Masaharu Morimoto), I caught some of the creative cosplay, checked out the general buzz at the second go-round for this now annual event and enjoyed hanging out with the East Coast contingent of the otaku set.
