After the abrupt cancellation of yaoi manga-ka Youka Nitta a few weeks ago, two manga artists have been added to the yaoi manga convention's roster: Nase Yamato and M.A. Sambre.
Nase Yamato is the creator of Pet on Duty and Cigarette Kisses, from Boysenberry Books and Take Me to Heaven, a January 2009 release from Deux Press. Yamato-sensei will be the making her first appearance at Yaoi-Con on September 26 - 28, 2008 at the Marriott San Mateo-San Francisco Airport Hotel in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Also recently added: French yaoi manga-ka M.A. Sambre will be the industry guest of Yaoi Press, the publisher of Sambre's Dark Prince series.
And last I heard from the folks at Go! Comi, there are plans in the works for Wendy Pini to unveil the print edition of her yaoi-inspired erotic thriller, Masque of the Red Death at Yaoi-Con 2008 as well. Although it's not been confirmed, Yen Press is a likely candidate to make their Yaoi-Con debut, with their upcoming releases of Mr. Flower Bride and Mr. Flower Groom, two boys love titles by Lily Hoshino due in stores in 2009.
