Comic-Con '08: Top 20 Must-Sees for Manga Fans

Only a day until Wednesday's preview night, and the kick-off of San Diego Comic-Con 2008. This year's Comic-Con is shaping up to be a truly international affair, with no less than five top Japanese manga artists coming to meet and greet fans, and lots of anime screenings, manga events and announcements to come.

With so much to see and do, what are the can't-miss events for manga readers? I combed through the programming schedule and various publishers' press releases and came up with my picks for the top 20 Comic-Con events for manga fans.

The obvious choices are the manga artists' appearances by Tite Kubo, Hiro Mashima and Yasuhiro Nightow, but I've also added a few panels and a couple of booths that are worth a look, including Imagi Studios' preview peek of the new Astro Boy movie that's due out in 2009.
