New on DVD: Nana, the Manga Movie That Rocks
After a few theatrical and anime convention showings, the live-action movie adaptation of Ai Yazawa's hit shojo / josei manga series Nana hits the DVD shelves on Tuesday, April 8.
Released by VIZ Pictures, the sister company to VIZ Media, the publisher of the Nana manga series, Nana the movie is the first of two films about two very different girls named Nana who meet and become roommates in the big city, Tokyo. Nana Osaki has dreams of becoming a rock star. Nana Komatsu just wants to find love and experience life in the big city. While Nana O. is cynical and world-wise and Nana K. is a wide-eyed innocent, these two girls quickly become friends whose fates become intertwined in unexpected ways.
