Q&A With Chibi Vampire Manga Artist Yuna Kagesaki
Japanese manga artist Yuna Kagesaki made her first visit to an American anime convention at Sakura-Con 2008 in Seattle last weekend.
At two panel appearances hosted by her American publisher TokyoPop and moderated by TokyoPop Senior Editor Lillian Diaz-Pyrzbyl, Kagesaki-sensei answered questions from Diaz-Pryzbyl and from her fans in the audience and demonstrated the kind of sly, self-deprecating wit that makes Chibi Vampire a wild romp about blood-sucking immortals who'd rather give than receive.
Read the transcript of the Q&A sessions with Kagesaki-sensei and find out what she had to say about her life as a manga-ka, the Chibi Vampire manga and anime, her impressions of her American fans and her plans for her next projects now that Chibi Vampire (a.k.a. Karin) has recently ended its run in Japan.
