Yaoi Jamboree Adds Two Manga Artists to Guest List
This week, Yaoi Press announced the addition of two new special guests to their roster for June's Yaoi Jamboree. Japanese manga artists Aoi Futaba and Kurenai Mitsuba are the creator team behind boys love (BL) titles including Level-C and A Kings Lesson.
Futaba-sensei and Mitsuba-sensei are just the latest additions to Yaoi Jam's international guest list, which also include:
- Eiki-Eiki - Japanese manga creator of DMP titles including The Art of Loving and Dear Myself
- Le Peruggine - Italian manga creator team behind Yaoi Press titles including the Cain series and Winter Demon.
- Mikiyo Tsuada and Taishi Zao - Japanese BL manga creators behind Princess Princess and The Day of Revolution (both published by DMP)
- The Slants - Asian-American pop band that recently made a splash at Sakura-Con 2008.
Yaoi Jamboree will be held on June 20 - 22, 2008 at the Renaissance Glendale Hotel & Spa, in Glendale, Arizona, near Phoenix. Pre-registration is now open, as is reservations for special hotel room rates at the Renaissance.
In an effort to make it even easier for fans to get to Yaoi Jamboree, event organizers are offering a chartered bus service from Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Albuquerque, and El Paso at rates that offer considerable savings compared to air fares or paying for gas to drive to Phoenix yourself. But hurry on this one -- deadline for reservations is April 30, 2008.
