Dark Horse Posts Shaman Warrior e-Manhwa Free-view

Thursday March 13, 2008

With most manga / manhwa averaging about $10+ a pop, it can be iff-y to take a chance on something new. Dark Horse has made it just a little bit easier to sample Shaman Warrior, the new action-adventure manhwa by Park Joong-Ki by posting entire chapters weekly as an online e-Comic.

Billed as "one of Korea's Top 5 best-selling manhwa," Shaman Warrior delivers gorgeous artwork and adrenaline-pumping sword-fighting sequences that will remind many seinen manga fans of Hiroaki Samura's Blade of the Immortal and Takehiko Inoue's Vagabond. There are three full-length chapters posted so far, with new chapters posted every week, and best of all, it's free.

The only downside so far? Dark Horse's eComics format only allows them to show one page at a time, which means readers aren't able to view Park's dynamic two-page spreads in all their glory. But hey, you'll just have to buy the graphic novel for that I guess.
