VIZ Acquires Rights to Release Death Note Movies in U.S.

American fans of Death Note are finally getting everything they've been begging for. In addition to the upcoming release of Death Note Volume 13 in early 2008, VIZ Media announced that they've acquired the rights to release the two live action Death Note movies with a series of film festival showings through the rest of 2007 and early 2008, leading up to the DVD release of both films in summer 2008.
